5B Unit8 At the weekends(Part A教学设计)
 
目标预设:
1、掌握单词和词组:talk about, weekend,spend, learn from, of course, catch butterflies,watch cartoons.
2、能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语:I can learn a lot from it. Of course, I do.
3、 能听懂,会说、会读和会写句型 How do you spend your weekends ? I often …… Sometimes I  …….
How does she/he spend his/her weekends ? He/She often …… Sometimes he/she …
重点、难点:
1、教学重点:初步了解掌握句型:How do you spend your weekends? How does he/she spend his/her weekends?及其相应的回答。
2、教学难点:能够正确运用动词的第三人称单数形式。
教学准备: 
多媒体课件、练习纸等。
教学过程:
Step1 Warm up
1、Greetings.
2、Sing a song: It is Monday
3、Free talk.
T: What day is it today?        
T: What do you usually do on Saturdays/ Sundays?         
T: Who’s your good friend ?
T: What does he /she usually do on Sundays / Saturdays?  (贴有关动词词组卡片)
设计意图】:先由学生熟悉的句型询问星期六和星期天可以做些什么事,与本单元学习“度周末”内容相关,与学生进行Free talk,然后让学生谈论自己朋友的周末活动,帮助学生熟悉复习重难点第三人称单数形式,内容贴近生活实际,既对后面的教学内容做了很好的铺垫,又使之不乏趣味性。
Step2 Presentation and practice
1、教学weekend, at the weekend
T: How many days are there in a week ?
S: There are seven
T: What are they ?
S: They’re Monday ,Tuesday,……
T: Yes, we know there are seven days in a week. In China, Saturday and Sunday are the end of a week .So we also call them weekend .
出示单词卡片weekend,领读,跟读
T: So Saturdays and Sundays we can say “weekends”
Today we’ll learn : Unit 8 At the weekends
此处揭题: Unit8 At the weekends(并结合日历教学weekends)   
【设计意图】:由学生熟悉的旧知Saturday和 Sunday引出weekend一词,在回答中呈现了新的短语,使新旧知识紧密地有机结合起来,给学生打开探求新知识的思路。有利于学生对这一单词的理解,同时又给了学生用英语解释英语的意识。
2、教学talk about
T: Today let’s talk about our weekends.
先教talk ,结合all,call,ball,总结al的发音;再引出词组talk about                
3、教学 How do you spend your weekends? 
I often …… Sometimes I  …….
(1) T: what do you usually do at the weekends?
S1: I usually …
T: How about you ?
S2: I usually …
T: Good. You also can say “I often …”
教学often…   I often ….
S3:Miss Zhang, what do you usually do at the weekends?
T: I often surfs the Internet, sometimes I go shopping.

(2) .Compare “often”and “sometimes”in the table.
【设计意图】: 有意识地在对话中渗透多种方式让学生体验到英语语言的丰富多彩与灵活多变。通过坐标图的形式,应该直观上比较“often”and“sometimes”的使用频率,并加以文字说明,最后将老师度过周末的方式,串联起来回答,既激发兴趣,又降低难度。
T:What do you usually do at the weekends?
T:How do you spend your weekends?
Ss:I often…. Sometimes I…(师引导,问部分学生)
出示 spend, 结合pen, ten, weekend,掌握发音,随后单词拓展:spend my weekends, spend your weekends,  spend his / her  weekends…
【设计意图】:“教是为了不教”,通过新旧知识的关节点进行课堂设问,在教学单词“spend”时,我从尊重学生的已有知识经验出发,让学生尝试自己去读,教给学生学习的方法,利用已学句型What do you usually do at the weekends?导出新句型How do you spend your weeke,nds?使学生体会到,两个句型表达的意思是相同的,回答的方法也是一致的,这也符合有效性提问的科学性。
4、教学catch butterflies, watch cartoons
游戏What are they doing? 出示不同动词词组,新旧交替引出butterfly, catch butterflies,watch cartoon并教学
5、教学learn from, of course
T:Can you guess how I spend my weekends?  You can use the sentence to ask me?Who want to try?         
S1How do you spend your weekends?
T: I often surf the Internet.Because I can learn a lot from it.
出示词组learn from,领读,跟读
S2: How do you spend your weekends?
T: OK.I like music.Of course, sometimes I listen to music.
出示词组of course,领读,跟读
 【设计意图】:这里通过学生猜老师如何度过周末,激发学生的好奇心,创造机会让学生运用新句型,并通过老师的回答,教学新词组,渗透新句型。

【设计意图】:这个环节表格式的提问还能引导学生提问,培养学生的问题意识,使学生获得初步运用英语进行交际的能力,并巩固新句型.How does he/she spend his/her weekends?He/She often …Sometime he /she…
2、Play a game: Who is she?

S: Perhaps she is …

以此为模板,不断操练巩固
【设计意图】:在学生带着疑问去了解故事情节的发展,深入理解故事内容,激发学生的问题意识良好的提问习惯,通过让学生来猜测照片中人物的周末活动,进一步强化第三人称单数的形式用法,同时满足了学生的好奇心,提高了学生学习的积极性。
3、教学Part A
(1) T:Mike and his classmates are talking about their weekends.Do you want to join them?
Ss:Yes.
T: Ok,let’s go.
(2) Watch the video.
(3) Ask and answer some questions.
(4) Connect the names and phrases.
(5) Read the text after the tape.
【设计意图】:在这部分的阅读教学中,我尝试利用“短兵相接”的问题创设情境,并把这些问题分别置于不同的情节之中,这样一来既可以使得课堂教学的节奏明快紧凑,也使得师生双方在不断地互动中达到有效检查学生阅读能力的目的,从而能够帮助学生理解两个动物的心理变化的趋势,使得阅读教学中的两个层次明确地展示在听者面前,那就是在阅懂的基础上进行正确和有感情地朗读文章。
Step4 Practice
1、Watch the video and answer the questions.
【设计意图】:此环节,呈现的是LUCY的一段视频,让学生先猜再听,利用本课学到的句型和动词的第三人称单数进行回答。
2、Listen and say

【设计意图】:通过一个听力练习,从课文内容自然迁移过渡到交流父母的周末活动上,对学生的能力要求有所提升,既强化了英语听的能力的训练,读写结合,能有效培养学生初步的写作能力。
3、Write a letter

My name is _________.I am a student. I hope we can be good friends. I’ll tell you something about me .
I have a happy family. At the weekends, I often__________.  Sometimes I ____________.

【设计意图】:本节课的学习难点在于学生能熟练地掌握第三人称单数形式,而英语课的有效性则表现在学生是否能顺利突破这一难点,所以在经历了听、说的训练后,我又将所有内容综合在这一封信中,这样一封信既可以有效的巩固学生对于第三人称单数的理解,又能够进一步提高学生写的能力,有效地创设了英语教学中的“信息沟”。
